DIY: 2 Ingredient Honey Sugar Lip Scrub

Hey there, it's the flybo back with another beauty DIY! Today, I've got a sweet treat for you to keep your lips kissable and soft. We're making a simple 2-ingredient lip scrub and mask that you can whip up right from your pantry.

Now, when the weather starts getting cooler and drier, we know that ashy knuckles and cracked lips are on the horizon. But fear not, my friend, because we're gonna stay ahead of it with some sweet DIY energy!

Let's jump right in.

This Honey Sugar combo is just what we need to combat chapped lips caused by cooler or drier weather. The sugar acts as an exfoliator, gently removing dead cells to reveal smoother lips, while the honey moisturizes and heals.

Honey on its own is a natural exfoliator and has those wonderful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

And guess what? Sugar is biodegradable and dissolves easily, so we won't have any clogged pores or unhappy drains. Brown sugar is perfect for this DIY because it's less processed and contains antioxidants and AHA compounds (that's Alpha Hydroxy Acid) that work wonders in sloughing away dead cells and revealing even-toned skin.

Now, let's get to the recipe:

Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon of Honey

Instructions:
1. Mix the sugar and honey together until you get a wet sand-like consistency.
2. Add more sugar if needed.

To use the scrub:
Gently massage the mixture onto your lips to remove any flaky skin. Rinse it off and follow up with the lip moisturizing mask or your favorite moisturizer/balm.

Now, for that lip moisturizing mask, we're going to give our freshly exfoliated lips some extra hydration. The honey in the scrub did a great job at moisturizing, but we want to seal in that goodness.

Here's what you'll need:

- 1/2 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
- 1/2 tablespoon of Honey

Mix the EVOO and honey together, and store it in a small amber glass container.

To use the mask:
Just dab a bit onto your finger and apply it liberally to your lips. You can store both the scrub and the mask at room temperature, away from extreme heat.

Now, go ahead and give yourself a little smooch for taking the time to do something sweet for those lips! Self-care is the best care, and sometimes all you need is ten minutes to pamper yourself. You're absolutely worth it!

Sending you lots of love,

The Flybo 💋
